Shared Campus

The shared campus proposal for our school and St Mary's Brookeborough is ongoing, and following the withdrawal of the Fresh Start funding for campuses, our project is now going forward through the Education Authority's major infrastructure fund. Detailed work is going on behind the scenes regarding the project and steering group meetings are continuing as planned.

This is an exciting project and we will do all we can to progress it as quickly as possible. If you would like to discuss the project or have any questions please contact the school and ask for Mr Young.

To help promote the shared campus our school and St Mary's Brookeborough recently took part in the 2024 Peace Proms concert in Belfast.

The children from P4 to P7 joined together with children from St Mary's Brookeborough PS and we all attended the Peace Proms concert in Belfast at the SSE arena. Our choir was named the 'Brookeborough Shared Campus Choir' as we continue our ongoing work on our exciting campus proposal which is in advanced planning stage.

We rehearsed at the arena in October last year and we practiced the songs a lot since then with essential dance moves!

Peace Proms is a wonderful initiative aiming to bring children together to promote peace in our country. There were a series of concerts around Ireland and we were lucky to get accepted to take part in the Belfast concert on 25th February.

The children performed brilliantly and had an amazing experience. Over 2500 children came together from schools across all areas of the province. The Cross Border Orchestra featuring children and young adults from ages 13 to 23, fantastically led all the music which we all danced and sang along to. Lots of our parents came to see the concert and support our children.

A special time had by all. Our children were accompanied by Mrs Rainey, Mr Young, Mrs D Robinson and Mrs Coulter. Many thanks to them for giving up their Sunday to provide the children with a highly memorable experience.
