We used drama to learn about how the war started. We had stickies (on our head!) and we learnt about the connection between WW1 and WW2, we also pretended to be different countries. It turns out WW2 might not have happened had it not been for how much Germany was punished for its actions WW1. Lots to think about!
We also acted out the Dunkirk evacuations where around 300,000 soldiers had to be evacuated from the French beaches due to the German army conquering France, Belgium and the Netherlands in a matter of weeks at the start of the war.
Some children acted as the German army, a British and German plane, the soldiers being rescued and the brave boats that crossed the English channel to save the soldiers.
